FROM WCFOA:

SUBJECT: NEW ROCHELLE PROPOSES RESOLUTION IN
SUPPORT OF NY SAFE ACT, SIMILAR TO YONKERS RESOLUTION

This proposal is on the agenda for next Tuesday’s meeting, March 12th at New Rochelle City Hall,
515 North Avenue, New Rochelle, 7:30 P.M.  This is also a “Citizens to be Heard” session which
occurs once a month, meaning that ALL CITIZENS WHO APPEAR WILL BE ALLOWED
3 MINUTES TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL.
  There will be press coverage.

The proposal is the result of action by anti-gun New Rochelle mayor Noam Bramson
to further his political career.

Bramson is the leading announced Democratic candidate for Westchester County Executive.
He has been virulently anti-gun since being elected mayor and is a member of
Mayor Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns, an organization whose clear purpose
is to strip honest citizens of their right of lawful firearm ownership.

The proposed New Rochelle resolution is attached as a .pdf file.  Also included is a copy
of the Yonkers Resolution which also supports the NY SAFE act.  These are

All gun owners who wish to make known their opposition to the SAFE act
can attend and be heard.  The following link shows a map
of the counties of New York, and which have issued resolutions officially
opposing the SAFE act, those which are proposing to oppose it, and
those counties which are doing nothing.

Any gun owners who appear and speak should make quick mention that they are
WCFOA members.
