Johnson County Undersheriff Kevin Cavanaugh loathes politicians touting gun control measures that jeopardize a citizen's right to bear arms. Banning assault rifles won't stop senseless violence, the lawman said. But he opposes as unnecessary a new state law making it a felony for a federal agent to enforce national laws on guns sold in Kansas.
