Indiana: Constitutional Right to Hunt and Fish Passed in Committee, Goes to Senate Floor for Vote
Today, Senate Joint Resolution 9 passed in the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee by a 7 to 0 vote. Sponsored by state Senator Brent Steele (R-44), SJR 9 would guarantee Hoosiers the right to hunt, fish and harvest wildlife. This proposed constitutional amendment would ensure the preservation of Indiana’s rich hunting heritage for future generations. SJR 9 could be voted on as early as Monday, February 3.
