Colorado: Bill Expanding Concealed Carry Permitting Process Signed Into Law

Last Friday, March 14, Governor John Hickenlooper (D) signed House Bill 1166 into law.  HB 1166, sponsored in the House by state Representative Ed Vigil (D-62) and in the Senate by state Senator Lois Tochtrop (D-24), reforms the concealed carry permitting process by changing current law, which only allows carry permit renewals at the sheriff’s office where issued, to allow renewal of carry permits at any sheriff’s office.
