Woman defends family business from robber, Dayton Daily News, Dayton, Ohio 04/11/16, WCMH, Columbus, Ohio, 04/09/16

A woman was working the counter at the Sundeck Tanning Salon in Dayton, Ohio, when a man entered and attempted to rob the store. The criminal acted as if he had a gun and demanded, “I don’t want any trouble, just give me all the money.” The woman responded by retrieving a gun from beneath a counter, pointing it at the thief and stating, “I don’t think you’re going to get that money today.” Upon meeting armed resistance, the robber fled the scene.
Police believe the robber may be connected to several other Dayton area robberies. Following the incident, the woman’s boyfriend, salon owner Bobby Hoblit, told a media outlet, “she’s not going to give up our money. This is our season. We’re a small family business. This is what we live off of and she’s not going to give that up.”
